the school of Fashion

Our fashion school is run by Reverend Lydia and her team of dedicated volunteers who are passionate about sharing their skills and knowledge with the community. Our goal is to help widows and children learn about textiles and fashion, as well as gain practical skills in sewing and garment-making. This will equip and empower them to become self-sufficient in order to support their families in line with our sustainability strategy.

Creating Life Skills

Our fashion school offers a life skill that the children can use throughout their lives. Knowing how to alter and mend their own clothes is a valuable skill that can save them money and teach them the importance of sustainability. Additionally, the children can use their newfound knowledge to establish their own clothing businesses and contribute to the economy.

We welcome anyone who is interested in getting involved in our fashion school. Whether you are a skilled seamstress looking to volunteer your time or a member of the community who would like to support our program, we would love to hear from you. Please contact us to learn more about how you can get involved and make a difference in the lives of these children.

Sustainable

By learning how to create clothes, everyone has the opportunity to not only develop a new hobby but also a means of earning an income. The garments made in our classes can be sold to help people in need, thus teaching the attendees the importance of giving back to their community.

What you leave behind is not what is engraved in stone monuments, but what is woven into the lives of others. – Pericles.28 Jul 2014
